We strive to protect trauma patients with an accurate, objective diagnosis. Treatment centers want to rehabilitate patients back to their pre-accident health status. OSAC’s mission is to conduct technical measurements using specialized x-rays to identify NON-Minor Injury Guideline (MIG) injuries such as Third Degree Ligament Ruptures.
This year the OSAC’s mission is to be more committed than ever before to support Ontario rehabilitation facilities: screen for hidden third degree ligament tears, and certify the radio-diagnosis as per American Academy of Disability Evaluating Physicians standards.
As a provincial Assessment Centre, our mission is to analyze neck and lower back motion x-rays. We do it the old fashioned way (ruler and protractor in hand) and the high-tech way (digital Dicom pics that can be expanded to billboard size). After the x-ray analysis is completed the OSAC medical radiology report includes test results, recommendations and AMA Impairment certification!
